If you want to go and see how the best of Australia’s sports people train and the facilities they use to ply their trade as they prepare for the 2016 Olympics, then a visit to the Australian Institute of Sport is a must.

Tours are available four times a day, running for 90 minutes:

  • 10am
  • 11:30am
  • 1pm
  • 2:30pm

The facility is world class, and the tour guide will give you the opportunity to see facilities such as the Men’s and Women’s Gymnastics area, the Volleyball courts, the main gymnasium, and the full size Olympic swimming pool.

The giant of a man you will see in the images of the Gymnasium below is the current Australia Men’s Volleyball Captain, Tom Edgar, who stands at 211 cm tall.

Admission is $19 for Adults, $11 for a child aged 5-17 years, Students/Pensioners $14.
Family passes are available @ $50 (2 Adults and up to 3 children).
